Launch checklist
6 things to settle before the servers open.
Normal, PvP or RP. You only group inside your own ruleset and faction, and PvP allows one faction.
A first and a last name, 2–12 letters each. The pair is unique in your region.
51 talent points by level 60, and a new milestone at 16 points in each tree.

A character spends at most 16 Legacy points at launch.
A craft you will wear or drink, and the gathering that feeds it.
The Hall of Thanes opens at 13 and Ruins of Lordaeron at 15. Collect every quest before the first run.
Day-one rules
What is different from the first minute.
Everyone starts at level 1. Beta characters do not carry over.
The cap is 60, forever. The experience needed to reach 60 is the same as Classic.
No flying, and riding at 40. You pay for riding training, and the first mount is free.
Dungeon quests pay. Trash does not. Experience from killing dungeon monsters was cut hard, and experience for completing dungeon quests was raised a lot.
Campfires give rested experience. Outdoor campfires grant rested experience out in the world, and most crafted food adds a small experience bonus while you level.
Traditional tagging. The first player to hit a mob owns it.

Meeting stones do not summon. A meeting stone opens a group listing and nothing more.
Who you can group with. Friends group on the same ruleset and the same faction.
New quests from about level 5. 1,000+ new quests are being added.

Do I need to buy anything to play WoW Forever?
- Do I need to buy anything to play WoW Forever?
- No. Forever is included with a WoW subscription or Game Time. There is no WoW Token and there are no paid boosts.
- What does an upgrade pack add?
- Skyborne characters and early name reservation. Any upgrade counts: Skyborne Heroic Pack, Skyborne Epic Pack or Warcraft Forever Collection. No other race needs a pack.
- Will my computer run it?
- The graphics card must be based on AMD Graphics Core Next 1 (2012), NVIDIA Maxwell (2014) or Intel Skylake (2015), or newer. Check yours before you install.
