Stats are simpler than Classic, bosses drop Rare items, and some gear suits one place or enemy type.
- Hit and crit are one stat each for melee, ranged and spells. Bonus healing also contributes bonus damage at one third.
- Weapon-skill bonuses on items are being reduced. Some items cut parry or dodge chance, and caster weapons can grant spell damage and healing.
- Dungeon drops were re-examined: hundreds of new drops, and boss items are Rare quality.
- World-drop epics were revisited. Hurricane was a rebuilt example in coverage.
- Named quest rewards: Ladimore Heirloom Ring (Mor'Ladim, Duskwood, casters) and Master Hunter's Spellsword (Nesingwary, Paladin two-hander). Their numbers were demo numbers.
- Biomes: IGN Nordic says some items carry buffs such as speed in a desert. The Deep Dive named Woodlands, Mountains and Deserts.
- Some items deal extra damage versus a race such as dragons or dwarves.
- Named situational examples: Worgenbane Talisman (a trinket idea) and X'caliboar (a creature-type idea).
- Previous raid gear is meant to stay useful. Launch raids on 9 Dec do not require attunement.
Unconfirmed individual loot tables, biome item names and amounts, and later attunements.
