Seeing the error when you enter the world does not mean your name was taken.
- Players saw "A character with that name already exists", and some said /who still showed that character online.
- Some could still log in other characters. Most reports followed a disconnect; one player had logged out normally.
- Kaivax asked for the locked-out character's name and when they were last playing, to narrow a log search.
- He said a Senior Game Producer wanted to restart Beta realms that day. One player later said a restart let them in.
Unconfirmed any fix; Blizzard has not published one.
