Balance leveling build

41/0/10 at level 60Insect Swarm at level 25

A caster build around Wrath. Improved Wrath cuts its cast time and Mana cost from level 10, and Improved Starfire fills levels 26 to 30. Nature's Grace, Eclipse and Moonfury lead to Moonkin Form at 40. Vengeance and Moonglow wait until after 40 because their per-rank values are not confirmed.

Key decisions

  • Improved Wrath comes first: 5 points take 50% off Wrath's Mana cost.
  • Nature's Majesty at 17 and 18 opens Nature's Splendor at 20.
  • Improved Moonfire's 2 points are also what Vengeance requires later.
  • Balance of Nature rewards alternating Nature and Arcane spells, so mix Wrath with Moonfire and Starfire.

Restoration leveling build

18/0/33 at level 60Swiftmend at level 25

A healing build that leans on Naturalist, the early Restoration talent that raises all damage you deal. Nature's Focus protects your casts and Nature's Swiftness at 30 makes one Nature spell instant. Wild Growth arrives at 40, and the remaining points go into Balance for Wrath.

Key decisions

  • Naturalist at 15 to 19: more damage in every form, and Nature's Swiftness needs all 5 points.
  • Improved Rejuvenation at 26 to 28: Improved Regrowth needs all 3 points.
  • One point of Living Spirit is enough for Wild Growth. The build takes all 3 for the Spirit.
  • Furor is left out: its per-rank values are not confirmed and it only helps when you shapeshift.

What changed for Druids · 7

Changes from Classic, and what the beta showed.
  • Improved Mark of the Wild is baseline.

  • Both Skyborne factions can be Druids, with new forms made for the race.

  • A beta Druid wearing a full Wailing Caverns set turned into a serpent. The snake is a different color for each Druid race, and prowling slithers along the ground. Beta

  • Bear Form multiplies armor bonuses from consumables and buffs in the beta. Blizzard lists it as a bug. Beta

  • The character sheet shows a tank's Critical Strike Immunity and Crushing Blow Immunity. Defense can still help past that cap. Beta

  • Bonus healing also adds bonus damage, at one third.

  • A new spell rank may not replace the old one on your action bar. Check your bars after each trainer visit: the spellbook hides lower ranks until you choose show all ranks.

Changes that apply to every class· 2
  • All 27 talent trees are meant to be viable for all content. They are not equal, and none should be strong enough to stack a raid with.

  • Hit and crit are one stat each for melee, ranged and spells. Hover a stat on the character sheet and it explains itself.
